VALUABLE EXPERIENCE.

That is what I bring to the citizens of Bexar County as the Judge of the 437th Judicial District Court. I am a native of San Antonio who returned home after growing up in a military family. I started my education at St. Mary's University School of Law and went on to practice at the Bexar County District Attorney's Office.

As a prosecutor, I gave the silent victims of crime a voice in the courtroom. In private practice, I helped protect the Constitutional guarantees of those impacted by the criminal justice system. While a magistrate judge, I balanced the need to protect the community with the rights of the accused. From these experiences, I have learned how to be fair but tough. I am a judge who is concerned with public safety but a judge who rules with compassion.

As a mother of three children, I have a vested interest in the outcome of our most challenging felony cases. I believe in giving back to the public and I am imbedded in the welfare of San Antonio as a member of various boards.
